ABOUT US
Established in 1989 as a family owned and operated guide service. We offer a variety of hunts including semi-guided, fully guided, and DIY drop camp hunts. Our mission is to create a once in a lifetime hunting experience by providing a family friendly atmosphere. Our unforgettable drop camp hunts are unlike any other. Our amenities at the base camp include a fully operational cabin, a bunkhouse, a studio cabin, and a shower house. Licensed, Bonded and Insured. Formerly operated under the name Calhoun Outfitters.
We hire the best guides
Our guides have been hunting elk their entire lives. They know the area like the back of their hands and will give you 110% effort. Our goal is 100% shot opportunity on our guided hunts. LOCATION
Located equidistant between Montrose and Grand Junction in Western Colorado. Base Camp Outfitters operates on 160 acres of private property in Colorado’s unit 62. The property borders thousands of acres of very remote National Forest.
